On January 22, 2017, we celebrated Poshi Poonam at the Parsippany PAL. Poshi Poonam signifies the day that Sahajanand Swami Maharaj initiated Mulji Sharma into Sainthood, giving him the name Gunatitanand Swami. Today we introduced our theme of the month – Change your vision, change the world. This theme was attributed to the life-transforming principles that Gunatitanand Swami taught and the legacy he left behind through the Swamini Vaato. The stage was beautifully decorated with murtis of Maharaj and Gunatitanand Swami sitting in front of a yagna, depicting the day of diksha 200 years later! P.Ronakbhai gave a discourse regarding one of Gunatitanand Swami’s teachings, Jevo bijane samjavavano agrah che, evo potane samajvano hoya; ane jevo bijana dosh jovano agrah che, tevo potana dosh talvano hoya; to kai kasar rahe ja nahi. In addition, Pushpakbhai spoke on Saambandhvari Drashti. This was paired with three videos on the history and mahimaa of Gunatitanand Swami. Lastly, a video of P.P Hariprasad Swamiji from 1996 was viewed. Swamiji explained the importance of Poshi Poonam and left one key message behind – Harmony within your heart, can constitute to harmony with those around you.
