Tribal Upliftment Most of the tribals in Gujarat do not have access to proper education and social exposure. YDS is reaching out to improve their standerd of living.
Hostel Facility 200 Students from tribal area of Dediapada, Valia, Netrang (Bharuch) were provided with lodging, boarding and all other facilities required for better education at Netrang.
Tribal Upliftment Centers 11 active centres have transformed 28 villages of Kalidodi, Pavi-jetpur, Dharampur-vansda, Pardi, Kadi--Kalol freeing them from addictions and superstitions through literacy and culture.
Tribal Youth Forum Under the loving and caring guidance of this forum 6450 tribal youth vowed to live a culture - oriented life free from ignorance and mis-beliefs. They also pledged to work for the betterment of their fellowmen.
Educational Campaign Through 20 centres, 400 tribal people learnt to read and write. They were also trained in the skills that would help them live a life of self independence.
Women Upliftment Program 110 tribal women were taught the skills of socio - economic development They were also guided on how to nurture their children in a hygenic way.
Free Clothes Distribution One container load of clothing (including warm clothes) was distributed among 3500 tribal people.
Medical Aid Health and hygiene awarness camps were held in 16 tribal regions catering 3600 people. Free TB camps, kindey-stone camps and diagnostic camps were held to provide free medical treatment.
